Job description
As a Principal AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI-driven solutions.
You will lead the design, development and deployment of machine learning and AI models, integrate AI into our products and services, influence company-wide AI initiatives and mentor a team of engineers in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development of AI and machine learning models, from data preprocessing and training to evaluation and deployment.
- Drive AI innovation by identifying new opportunities, researching emerging technologies and implementing best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists and engineers to align AI strategies with business objectives.
- Mentor and guide a team of AI engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Conduct cutting-edge research in AI, developing new algorithms and pushing the boundaries of AI capabilities.
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
- Extensive experience in developing and deploying machine learning models at scale.
- Proficiency in Python, R or Java, with a strong focus on AI frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Expertise in natural language processing (NLP), computer vision or other specialised AI domains.
- Proven track record of leading complex AI projects from conception to production.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud for AI model deployment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work on ambiguous, high-impact challenges.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with experience mentoring technical teams.
- Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices to streamline model lifecycle management.
